(Olkusz, Poland, 1968). During one of his neighborhood escapades, while picking up wild pears, ten years old Marek falls from a tree and wakes up twenty-eight years earlier in the same location, during World War II, on one of the most infamous days in hist town’s history: the Bloody Wednesday. Tens of Jewish men of the town are rounded up at the center of the town and harassed by the German soldiers. In boy’s eyes they become monstrous golems.
